I took all 4 of these shots when Alice in Chains opened for Van Halen on the Facelift tour. I really love Layne’s vibe in the first one as he’s posed with the mic stand. And in the second shot of him, I really love how you can feel the sheer intensity of his voice. I dig the shot of Jerry as he’s riffing on his blue dress guitar. And love Mike’s excitement as he’s working his bass. These were taken during “Sea of Sorrow” and “Real Thing.” Alice in Chains played a short but beyond intense set that evening.
